Congress working hard to unite Muslim votes

New Delhi: Keeping an eye on proposed assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, Congress has begun emergency preparations. It is deploying members of minority department in Muslim dominated assembly constituencies.

District minority Congress hosted Iftar party in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal. Earlier a convention was also held which was well attended by President Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee Kamal Nath, Madhya Pradesh in charge to Congress, Deepak Bavaria, former union minister Arjun Singh’s son and leader of the opposition in Madhya Pradesh assembly Rahul Singh, All India Congress Committee Minority Department Chairman Nadeem Javed.

According to Nadeem Javed there are at least 50 seats out of 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh where Muslims voters are in decisive position, hence this time the responsibility to bring Muslim voters to the polling booth has been assigned to Congress minority department.

He informed that similar meeting will also be held in Rajasthan in this connection.
