Kakinada: As many as 6 members were injured while one was killed after two huge cranes collapsed all of a sudden at Kakinada Sea Port Limited this Saturday.
At least 40 workers were attending the work when the mishap occurred at the seaport. The injured were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Kakinada.
The cranes used near the seaport where designed for heavy types of machinery and other heavy materials.
Police sources said the mishap took place at berth number six repair works were ongoing, TOI reports.
Port authorities immediately rushed to the mishap area and rescue operations were launched to bring out the workers trapped under the cranes.
Fire tenders, Police, Port staff were also rushed into the spot.
