Dalit BJP MP Udit Raj criticizes his own party

New Delhi: Dr.Udit Raj, BJP MP has criticized his own party over Dalit issues. He also targeted Dalit ministers in the central cabinet.

According to the report published in Asianage, commenting on Dalit cabinet ministers, Dr. Udit Raj has compared them with parasites. He also accused them of ignoring the community.

It may be mentioned that prominent leaders in BJP are against Dr. Raj’s renomination from North-West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency.

When questioned about the chances of the party taking action against him, Dr. Raj said that he is not saying anything against the party. Dr. Raj also made it clear he is not leaving BJP.

Dr. Raj further alleged that no one listens to him in the party.

When asked about Mr. Ram Vilas Paswan, LJP leader, Dr. Raj said, “Please ask Paswanji”.

It may be mentioned that the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on Friday threatened the Centre that they would join the agitation led by the Dalit outfits if amendments are not made in the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act by August 9.

While addressing the media, LJP leader Chirag Paswan raised an objection on the appointment of retired Justice AK Goel as the chief of the National Green Tribunal, who as per the party acted against Dalit interests by passing judgment on diluting provisions of the SC/ST Act.

Earlier, over the Dalit issue, four BJP Dalit MPs from UP had also raised their voice.
