Delhi-Kathmandu flight takes off after security clearance

New Delhi: The Kathmandu-bound Air India flight, which was delayed due to bomb threat, took off after security clearance from IGI Airport here on Wednesday evening.

Air India said that flight AI-215 took off in a different aircraft at 7.50 pm from IGI.

” Flight AI215 Delhi-Kathmandu, delayed due to bomb threat, took off at 1950 hrs with change in aircraft after security clearances,” Air India tweeted.

Earlier, multiple bomb scares in Delhi-Kathmandu bound flights halted the operations of Jet Airways and Air India flights today.

Jet Airways flight 9W260 Delhi to Kathmandu was delayed following a security alert. All 122 guests and seven crew members of this flight were taken to the waiting area.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Airports had received a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) threat call. (ANI)
