Downfall of BJP will start from Gujarat: Congress

Hyderabad: Congress leader of opposition in Telangana Legislative Council, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Mr. K. Jana Reddy called on the political adviser of Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Ahmed Patel in New Delhi on Monday and congratulated him on the occasion of his birthday and also on his success at the recently held Rajya Sabha election in Gujarat. They said that the success of Mr. Ahmed Patel is the success of secularism. They said that the downfall of BJP will start from Gujarat.

Mr. Ahmed Patel advised the Congress leaders of Telangana to campaign for the Congress in Gujarat elections for which they agreed.

Talking to newsmen, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir told that the reverse counting of Modi and Amit Shah has started from their home state Gujarat. Despite all the foul tactics of Modi and Amit Shah, Congress won the Rajya Sabha election in Gujarat which proves that the spell of magic of Modi and Shah has come to an end. NDA and BJP Govt. of Gujarat used official machinery to defeat Mr. Ahmed Patel but Congress gave a befitting reply by quoting effective arguments, as a result of which, Congress and secularism won.

Mr. Shabbir condemned the attacks on Minorities especially on Muslims and said that Hindutva forces got free hand after Modi assumed power in the Center. Cow Vigilantes are attacking the Muslims by taking law into their hands. Harassment is being continued in the name of “Love Jihad”.

Later, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir addressed the protest gathering at Jantar Mantar Road organized by Indira Park, Dharna Bachao Committee and said that Telangana is not the “Jagir” of KCR. Mr. KCR who assumed power on account of protests and separate Telangana Movement is assuming dharna chowk as a danger for his rule. He is exhibiting stubbornness to crush democratic protests. He hoped that in the General Elections of 2019, the people of Telangana will bring back Congress to power and teach a lesson to TRS.
