Hyderabad: Vexed with the harassment of getting more dowry, a woman committed suicide in Aliabad area of Old City by hanging herself.
According to the details of the incident, T. Shravani (28) was married to Ravi Kumar Chari in 2012. She was being harassed continuously after marriage for getting more dowries, as a result of which, she committed suicide by hanging herself in her in-law’s house.
The relatives of the deceased lodged a complaint with the police. Shah Ali Banda Police registered a case against her husband and in-laws for dowry harassment. Investigations are in progress.
