Hyderabad: Govt. of India appointed Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, IFS as Regional Passport Officer, Hyderabad. He took charge yesterday. He belongs to 2008 batch of Foreign Service.
Dr. Reddy obtained his MD degree from All India Institute Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Earlier, he worked in the India Mission at Geneva and other Latin American Countries. He was also appointed as the head of the Ministry of External Affairs in 2016. He served in the publicity division of Ministry of External Affairs where he was official spokesman. He was member of team which obtained E-Governance Award in Digital Diplomacy. He visited Europe and Latin American Countries. He also worked as the first secretary of Indian Mission in Geneva. His performance in Human Rights Council and International Labour Organization was laudable. He knows English, Hindi, Telugu and Spanish.
