Dy CM intervenes to solve Waqf Board crisis

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali had to finally intervene to solve Telangana Waqf Board crisis. He is said to have directed Secretary Minority Welfare Omer Jaleel to take practical measures to solve the crisis. He told to induce Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Asadullah, who is on leave, to join the duty. However it is not clear yet whether Mr. Asadullah will not extend the leave taken by him for 15 days. It must be noted that the Waqf Board is in crisis for the last 15 days as the Board was running without a CEO. Its activities had come to standstill.

It must be recalled that, fed up with the political and senior official’s pressure, CEO Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah had gone on leave. Government had given additional responsibility to Prof. S A Shukoor in Asadullah’s absence but the former refused to take charge keeping in view the beginning of Hajj Camp.
