Eid-al-Fitr: UK PM Theresa May extends greetings to people – Here’s what she says

London: In a video, Prime Minister of UK, Ms. Theresa May extended greeting on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr.

She said, “It is being said that on Eid-al-Fitr, ‘it seems as though all the noise suppressed for a whole month has concentrated itself within one night'”.

Talking about the celebration on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, she said, “It is certainly a time for great celebration and joy, as we’ve seeing in Muslim Communities across the country today”. She also said, “But of course, the end of the holy month of Ramadan is about more than simply having fun. It’s a time for Muslims to come together with family, friends and neighbours”. “It’s an opportunity for spiritual renewal”, she added.

She further said, “It is a chance to help those less fortunate and give thanks for all that is good in your life”.

Talking about the contribution of Muslims, she said, “British Muslims are making a positive contribution to their communities and their country”.

Finally, she said ‘Eid Mubarak’.
