Enter into campaign mode, expose TRS Govt failures: Uttam tells cadre

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy advised party workers to enter into campaign mode and expose the failures of TRS and BJP Governments.

He was addressing a meeting at Boduppal on Sunday on the occasion of joining of TDP Ranga Reddy District General Secretary Rapolu Ramulu and B. Ramesh, along with their hundreds of supporters, into the Congress party. Former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana, former MLA K. Laxma Reddy and others leaders were also present on the occasion.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress party was organisationally very strong across Telangana State. He said, so far, more than one lakh Congress workers have registered themselves with Shakti programme and number is most likely to increase by three-four folds. Stating that the party would intensify Shakti enrolments further, he advised the Congress workers to enter the campaign mode. He said the failures of TRS Govt in Telangana and BJP Govt at the Centre should be explained to the people.

“With his attractive talk and lucrative promises, KCR has cheated all sections of the society. Both Prime Minister Narender Modi and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao did nothing for Hyderabad in the last four years. TRS Govt even failed to maintain the infrastructure which was created by the previous Congress regime. KCR’s only focus was on the accumulation of illegal wealth and welfare of his family. Except for four members of KCR family, no one gained from the formation of Telangana. KCR family shattered the original dream of Telangana only to realize their own personal dreams,” he alleged.

The TPCC chief alleged that KCR has tuned entire administration to extract benefits for his own family. He said the Congress workers should expose how KCR family has been living a lavish lifestyle using public money. TRS Government is executing only the works from where it could get commissions from contractors, he alleged.

Uttam Kumar Reddy claimed that the Congress party was all set to win next elections, whenever they are held. He said all recent surveys have clearly indicated a landslide victory for Congress party. However, he said that all Congress leaders and workers must stay focussed on strengthening the organization at all levels.

Sarve Satyanarayana, in his speech, said that the Congress party would win 100 seats in next elections.

Earlier in the day, Uttam Kumar Reddy performed special puja at the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad.

Later, the TPCC chief also participated in the Round Table conference organized by Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) at Somajiguda Press Club on Kaleshwaram Project. (NSS)
