Farooq Abdullah lauds Imran Khan’s statement; urges to implement it

Srinagar: Former Chief Minister Jammu & Kashmir and president National Conference congratulated Imran Khan for his party’s victory in elections. PTI has emerged as the single largest party with Imran Khan likely to be the new prime minister of Pakistan. Farooq Abdullah lauded Imran Khan’s statement regarding Indo-Pak relations. ANI quoted Abdullah as saying “I congratulate Imran Khan. I’ll also say that his statement regarding India that he wants to have better relations with India and solve issues with dialogue, is kind-hearted. We want him to implement what he is saying.”

In his first speech after the elections, Khan asserted that he would like to have good relations with India. He said that it was time the two countries sat across the table and discussed the issues of concern.
