Berhampur (Odisha): A fast food vendor was shot dead by unidentified persons near Dumakumpa village in Ganjam district, police said today.
The body of 19-year-old Purna Chandra Mishra was recovered near a pond near his village yesterday, they said.
A single shot revolver was also seized from near the body, the police said.
After committing the crime they might have dumped the firearm near the body, said Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Bhanjanagar Utkal Keshari Das.
Police said previous enmity might be the cause of the murder. “We have started investigation from all possible angles,” said the SDPO.
