Free health tests at “Telangana Diagnostic Central Hub”: KTR

IT & Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao has said the State government was trying to develop the State into “Healthy Telangana” with unique schemes.

Along with Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy, KTR launched “Telangana Diagnostic Central Hub” at IPM Campus in Narayanaguda here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion after visiting a photo exhibition, KTR said the new Central Hub will provide as many as 53 medical tests for common man free of cost. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao conceived the revolutionary and innovative schemes for providing best health services to the poor in the State, he claimed.

“The people can come and avail the facility of health check-up and then go for treatment. Though medical expenditure was increasing, the government aims to provide the best and free health services to its people across the State. The TRS government was ready to spend huge funds and launched 40 dialysis centers across the State”. He also said institutional deliveries have increased significantly up to 50 per cent ever since KCR Kits scheme was launched in Telangana. It is a great scheme helping the women in the villages and towns to get benefits over delivery with financial assistance of Rs 12,000 he said. For urban poor, the government has started “Basthi Dawakhanas” and 17 such health centers have come up in several places.

Lakshma Reddy said launching the central health hub is a milestone in the history of Telangana Health department. Similar health centers will also be launched in all districts soon. “We have strengthened the government hospitals across the State with all the facilities, latest equipment and machinery”, he claimed. The past governments neglected the health sector, he said. However, the KCR Government was developing all sectors with equal priority, Lakshma Reddy added. (NSS)
