GHMC chief inspects areas, imposes Rs 10,000 fine for dumping debris on road

Hyderabad: M. Dana Kishore, Commissioner, GHMC made surprise inspections today in the morning hours near Secunderabad St. Ann’s School where construction debris was dumped on the main road and directed the officials to impose penalty of Rs 10,000 for dumping debris on the road. He also asked the officials to strictly implement his order against those indulging in open urination.

Wherever the drainage and water leakages are there, the concerned officials of HMWS&SB have to make a note and take appropriate action immediately. The Commissioner also inspected the public toilets at Alugadda Bavi and directed the officials to maintain proper cleanliness near the toilets.

Heaps of construction debris and other waste has been observed in some of the areas where he has inspected and no proper action has been initiated by the officials concerned. The Commissioner was angry over the issue. The Commissioner also visited Mettuguda lanes and bylanes where the sanitation works have been taken up and requested the residents of the area to segregate the garbage waste dry and wet separately and interacted with the residents about their problems and so on.

Later, the Commissioner inspected the graveyard and directed the officials to maintain proper cleanliness and construct a separate gate duly taking up compound wall with proper coloring.
