Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) came up with an innovative idea to provide food to hungry people. The corporation has set up a refrigerator at Shilparamam.
According to the report published in The Hans India, persons who want to help hungry people can place the food in the refrigerator.
It may be mentioned that the refrigerator has two components. One for non-veg, another for veg.
This initiative was launched on Thursday by Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and Serilingampally MLA Arikepudi Gandhi.
It may be noted that it will not only save wastage of food but also help hungry people.
Apart from this, GHMC is running Rs. 5 meal scheme to provide food to more than 45000 people every day.
