Goa CM soon to travel abroad for ill health

Goa: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who has been ill for the past few days will travel abroad in order to receive further medical treatment said his personal secretary on Monday.

Parrikar who had complaints of dehydration and low blood pressure was discharged on Thursday after receiving treatment in the state government-run Goa Medical College and Hospital.

According to Parikar’s personal secretary, CM who is currently in his residence in Goa will first travel to Mumbai for further treatment which will be followed by follow-up in another country.

“He (Parrikar) will travel to Mumbai for further medical checkup and based on doctor’s advice, may travel overseas for further treatment,” personal secretary said.

Goa’s CM has been suffering for the past few weeks and was first admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on 15 February for “mild pancreatitis”

The 62-year old CM was discharged days later and travelled back to Goa to deliver the annual budget speech on 22 February but was admitted again to Goa Medical college and Hospital due to his ill health.

CM for consecutive third term, Parikar’s health concerns the BJP party while his well wishers are performing Mahamrityunjay Jaaps (chants to defy death) for him, Zee news reported.
