Goshalas, Jeeva Rakshaks condemn arrest of Raja Singh

Hyderabad: Several Unions, including Goshalas and Jeeva Rakshaks today condemned the arrest of Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh, while he was staging a peaceful protest seeking the protection of cows.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Mahesh Agarwal (Bharatiya Prani Mitra Sangh), Jasmath Patel (Love for Cow), Ridhesh Jagirdar (Prani Mitra Sangh), Vijay Varghi (Gognan) have demanded that the State government release Raja Singh immediately. They said everyone has right of staging protest democratically. It was atrocious on the part of the police to arrest Raja Singh, who was demanding that the State government implement the laws to protect domestic animals, at his residence and shifting him to Bollaram Police Station, they said.

They demanded that the State government protect the cows by shifting them to Goshalas from the residences where cows were detained for the sake of Bakrid festival. They asked the police to check the Fit for Slaughter certificates before killing the domestic animals. He urged DGP M Mahender Reddy to respond on it. They warned that they would not keep quiet if anyone attacks Gorakshaks.

Ajay raj Sharma, Sangameshwara Chary, Srinivas, Anjaneyulu Goud and others were present.
