Govt. doctor of Kareem Nagar sentenced on corruption charges

Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Cases Special Judge sentenced Dr Kannam Rajaiah, Dy, Civil Surgeon, Office of the DM & HO Karimnagar District for one year rigorous punishment and fine of Rs.2,500 on corruption charges.

According to sources Dr Rajaiah was trapped by ACB Officials when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 2,000 from the complainant Dr Surasura Radha Krishna, Medical Officer, PHC Yellareddypet for showing official favour to issue attendance certificate to the complainant for the deputation period worked by him. Dr Rajaiah was also incharge of Primary Health Centre at Chandravat.
