Handling fame without support difficult: Margot Robbie on ‘I, Tonya’

London: Actor Margot Robbie said it would have been a tough ride had she shot to fame like figure skater Tonya Harding without a support system. Reportedly, the 27-year-old actor, who plays the title role in the biopic ‘I, Tonya’, although believes she deals with her popularity quite well.

“… becoming famous at (Tonya’s) age without a support network around her, and without a clear distinction, I think would have been incredibly difficult,” Robbie said. The ‘Suicide Squad’ actor, who hails from Australia, said spending so much time away from home in Hollywood is a “bittersweet” feeling.

“It’s bittersweet living outside of Australia, because I miss everyone so much, but the fact that they are so removed from it helps me keep my life and my work separate – even though they are intrinsically linked, because all I want to do is work all the time,” she said.
