Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today distributed clothes to poor Christians at a program in Gajwel. He gave away clothes to some 3,500 poor Christians of all mandals under Gajwel Assembly constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said the State government was giving equal priority to all the religions and spending adequate funds for their welfare. Clothes were being distributed to the poor Christians to celebrate Christmas in a jubilant manner, he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao wants the Christmas to celebrate the festival in a grand manner. The TRS Government has been implementing several developmental works since the last three-and-a-half years though previous Congress and Telugu Desam governments did not do so in the past 60 years, he added.
