Hyderabad: Heavy rainfall in the city of Hyderabad on Monday evening resulted in three deaths. A youth by name Afsar (35) died of electrocution at Mehboob Chowk. John Edulu (35) and his 6-months old son also died when a wall collapsed in Zohra Nagar, Singada Kunta, Banjara Hills area. John’s wife Mera (30) was seriously injured.

According to the details, Afsar died on the spot after touching the electric wire in Shaheen Nagar area. Mr. Meer Kamaluddin Ali Khan, Director, TSSPDCL immediately reached the spot and announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 4 lakh.

Dy. Mayor, Mr. Baba Fasihuddin went to Singada Kunta where two persons had died.

Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mahender Reddy issued instructions to Task Force and City Armed Police to be alert. The services of Dept. of Fire have also been kept ready.
