High expectations made me anxious: Ronaldo after Juventus goals

Georgia: Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who finally opened his goal-account with newly-joined club Juventus in a Serie A match against Sassuolo, has admitted that the hype created around his first goal for the club made him anxious.

The 33-year-old further expressed happiness over finally being able to score for Juventus and asserted that he is working well with his teammates to adjust according to the conditions.

“I was a little bit anxious as expectations were high. I really wanted to score, so I’m happy. Of course, there was attention after my arrival in Turin, but life is like that,” CNN quoted Ronaldo, as saying.

“I’m happy. I’m working well and my teammates have helped me to adapt to this championship,” he added.

In July, Ronaldo had left Spanish club Real Madrid to join Juventus in a deal that cost over 100 million Euros.
