Hyderabad: In a shocking incident reported from Madhapur, a 14-year-old teen was booked for filming women bathing at a hostel in his tablet.
The incident came to light after a 22-year-old student who stays at the same hostel filed a complaint against the boy.
According to initial reports, the accused lives in the adjacent building to the hostel located in Madhapur and had been filming women bathing in hostel washroom on his tab peeping through his window which is just a meter away.
The complainant alleged that the 14-year-old boy, who lives in a building adjacent to her hostel, was recording videos of women staying in the hostel while they were taking bath.
The women in the hostel raised alarm, after which others went to check on the boy and caught him red-handed in his act, the police said, TOI reports.
The people handed over the boy to the police along with the tab which contained 3000 videos and multiple pictures of women taking bath.
“The boy is a class IX student and his house is adjacent to the women’s hostel. From his bathroom window, he could peep into the bathroom of women’s hostel, which is hardly a meter away. The boy started video-recording the women in his tab,” ACP, Madhapur, N Shyam Prasad Rao, said.
“We have sent the tab to forensic lab for collection of evidence and to see if the videos or photos have been shared with anyone. A case was booked under Section 354-C (voyeurism) of the IPC,” DCP, Madhapur, A Venkateswara Rao, said.
The teenager will soon be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
