Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister Dr. C. Laxma Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated “102 – Vehicle Services” called Amma Vodi which will be used for pickup and drop of pregnant women and Neonatal Children in tribal areas.
“To curb the infant mortality rates and mother mortality rates, the government has proposed this scheme called Amma Vodi, which provides transport services to the tribal ladies who are pregnant and also how have delivered babies at the hospital,” said Chief operating officer, Brahmananda Rao.
Right now the services will be provided in four tribal clusters and will be later extended to other areas.
