Hyderabad man extends financial help to the family of Kathua rape victim – Online fundraiser started

Hyderabad: After Kathua gang rape, many persons came forward to help the family of the victim. Persons from different countries extended financial support.

According to the report published in TOI, Hyderabad’s Bodybuilder Esa Misri also extended financial help of Rs. 50, 000.

On the other hand, Mr. Azha Pasha, CEO of Rahbar Foundation, Irving, Texas started an online fundraiser on ‘GoFundMe’. Till now, persons made contributions of around $ 6,700. It has a target of $30,000. This fundraiser was started on 12th April. He made an appeal to donate generously and support the family.

He wrote that they had spoken to the family of Kathua rape victim. Giving the details, he wrote that the father of the victim is a poor nomad and victim’s family is living in fear.

Meanwhile, Mr. Salman Nizami tweeted that he spoke to the victim’s family. He also wrote, “Offered them shelter & a piece of land in my home town. It is a small gesture, but it’s something I needed to do!”.

It may be mentioned that in the month of January, an eight-year-old girl, belonging to a nomadic Muslim tribe in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, was allegedly abducted, drugged, raped, and killed. Her body was found a week later.
