Hyderabad: Police force deployed at the house of Prof. Kancha Ilaiah, Dalit activist and writer after Arya Vysya Sangham called a protest against him.
It may be mentioned that Prof. Kancha Ilaiah wrote a book “Samajika Smuglurlu Komatollu” which created unrest among the Vysya community.
According to the news published in Telangana Today, V Ashok Reddy, Inspector of Police, Osmania University said that upon receiving information that the Sangham members decided to demonstrate at the house of Mr. Ilaiah, the police force was deployed. He further added that these preventive measures are taken to prevent any law and order issue.
Meanwhile, few persons belonging to sangham were taken into preventive custody under section 151 of CrPC.
