Madina: The General Presidency for the Affairs of Two Holy Mosques has announced that a place has been prepared for greeting the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) in Prophet’s Mosque.

The announcement was made by the presidency on its website and the Imam is asked to go back to the Mihrab (Qibla Wall) of the Prophet, as per a report by Arab News.

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Biaijan led Friday prayers in the Prophet’s Mosque, witnessing the return of Imam to the Mihrab in Masjid-e-Nabwi.

A pathway is also prepared that leads to greet the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and his two Companions (May Allah be pleased with them). The path will help visitors to avoid getting harassed by overcrowding.

As per the sources, directives were issued saying that the leading worshipper in the Prophet’s Mosque during Friday prayers, the two Eids, Taraweeh, and midnight prayers will be held in the old Mihrab of Prophet’s Mosque.
