Imran Khan upset over scrapping of Indo-Pak meet

Islamabad: Showing anger over the cancellation of talks with Pakistan by the Indian government which was supposed to be held on 21 September, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted he was “disappointed at the arrogant and negative response” to his call for a resumption of dialogue.

The meeting was supposed to be held between Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Sushma Swaraj. Qureshi regretted the way India first accepted their goodwill and then rejected it.

Pakistan government said it is “deeply disappointed at the announcement made by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi today (21 September) about the cancellation of the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan, which was to be held on the sidelines of UNGA in New York.”
