Jagan Took a U-Turn on Kapu Quota, Says Chandy

Andhra Pradesh Congress party affairs in-charge Oommen Chandy stated that YRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took a U- turn in regard to reservation to Kapus.

Oommen Chandy reached the Gannavaram Airport from Bengaluru to go to Kakinada on tour. The Congress party activists welcomed him on a grand note. Speaking at Airport, Chandy said that Jagan was stating for the last four years that he will provide reservations to Kapus, but suddenly the latter changed his stand. He made it clear that the Congress party would always stand by the Kapus and the party will give top priority to Kapus in the coming elections. He also made it clear that the party will give top priority to the Kapus in the manner it gives to the issue of special status to the Andhra Pradesh state.
He said that the process of bringing back the Congress party leaders, who left the party and joined other political parties, into the party fold has been speeded up. He exuded confidence that the party will play pivotal role in the 2019 elections. Later, Chandy went to Kakinada along with party leaders. (NSS)
