Washington: Oscar-nominated ‘Juno’ actor Ellen Page has tied the knot with Emma Portner, a professional dancer who teaches contemporary jazz at the Broadway Dance Center in New York.
The ‘Inception’ star took to social media to announce the news as she shared a photo of the newlyweds’ wedding bands.
“Can’t believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife,” the actress captioned the picture.
Page came out as gay in 2014 during an event promoting the welfare of LGBT youth.
“I’m here today because I am gay,” she shared at the time. “And because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility.” (ANI)
