Alleging that Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao was involved in sand mafia activities, Congress senior leader and Gadwal MLA DK Aruna has said sand mafia was successfully running their activities in the district with the support of Jupally. She also alleged that Jupally was also an expert in cheating the banks.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, DK Aruna said the police were not reacting though the people lodged complaints against Jupally’s sand mafia activities. She asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao whether he was not able to see the excesses of Ministers. She asked Jupally to come to her as she was ready to show the illegal sand transportation. She also alleged that Jupally was shifting the Telangana minerals to Andhra Pradesh.
Wondering at Jupally mortgaging the disputed lands in banks, Aruna asked whether the act of taking loans in that manner was not looting the banks. She slammed Jupally saying that the latter was fielding his sons to loot the banks. She demanded that the Chief Minister drop Jupally from his cabinet. (NSS)
