Washington: For the first time ever, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, were seen together at the Wimbledon arena.
According to Page Six, they arrived at the arena to witness the women’s final between USA’s Serena Williams and Germany’s Angelique Kerber.
Both Markle and Middleton had a chat with Williams and Kerber. They also learned more about the tournament from the ball girls and boys, reported People magazine.
The two duchesses also witnessed World No.1 Rafael Nadal’s defeat in the hands of Novak Djokovic in the men’s second longest semi-final match at the arena.
Being avid tennis fans, Meghan and Kate have been spotted at tennis matches in the arena time and again.
While the Duchess of Cambridge is often seen accompanying her husband, Prince William, Markle first attended the arena in 2016, around the same time she met her current husband, Prince Harry, the outlet notes.
