KCR assures Metro Rail in Old City, highlights implementation of welfare schemes

Hyderabad: Chief Minister of Telangana State, Mr. KCR announced that very soon Metro Rail will be started in the Old City. He assured that he would instruct the concerned minister for the implementation of Metro Rail Project in the Old City.

He also said that very soon the grants for Shadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi Schemes will be enhanced. The work pertaining to the establishment of International Islamic Center will also start soon. He announced that 1 lakh 2BHK flats will be constructed for the poor citizens of Hyderabad. He said that various facilities available to SC and ST students will also be extended to Minorities.

He gave these assurances in the TS Assembly while responding to the arguments on Governor’s address.

He said that foundation stone for the establishment of International Islamic Center will be laid soon. He assured that he would visit the Old City to review the status of electricity supply. He informed that Govt. is spending Rs. 800 crore for providing current supply to the Old City.

Referring to Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi Schemes, Mr. KCR told that from the next year onwards the grants would be raised from Rs. 75000 to Re. 1 lakh. He pointed out that Govt. established 204 residential schools for minorities which has no parallel in any State of the Country.

He mentioned that Mess Charges of hostel boarders have also been increased. He pointed out that the amount of Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minority students has been increased from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh. He indicated that Congress leaders might not have dreamt of such welfare schemes in their lifetime. He also said that BJP is in power in 20 States but no such welfare schemes are found in those states. He reiterated that TRS Govt. fulfilled its election promises. In addition to it, TRS has introduced 24 new schemes which were not promised in the election manifesto of the party.
