Former Union minister Sudini Jaipal Reddy has alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was speaking against the BJP only to “deceive” the lower class people.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Jaipal Reddy said KCR spoke against BJP in colluding with it only. “KCR extended his support when the Centre declared demonetization of big currency notes and several other issues”, he said, adding that KCR not only used objectionable word against Narendra Modi but also against AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi. He reiterated that the Telangana Chief Minister has a secret agreement with the BJP in terms of ideals.
Dubbing KCR as an opportunist, Jaipal Reddy said KCR has no alternative than Modi and BJP. He also asserted that the TRS would join hands with the BJP after the elections though they maintain distance with each other now for public consumption. He asked KCR whether he brought funds from the Centre.
Declaring that he would contest from Mahabubnagar Lok Sabha constituency in 2019, Jaipal Reddy said he doesn’t like to speak about internal affairs of the party. He exuded confidence that the Congress would come back to power if the elections conducted in 2018 or 2019. He recalled that while KCR wanted to ally with the BJP during the 2014 elections for political gain, but the BJP preferred an alliance with the TDP.
He also did not rule out the possibility of KCR allying with BJP before or after the ensuing general elections. Alleging that KCR used objectionable language against Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Jaipal Reddy claimed that using inappropriate words against the BJP was a part of the “game plan” of KCR. (NSS)
