The Agriculture Council has been offering awards for agriculture and rural development since 2008.

Besides supplying uninterrupted power supply for nine hours for crops, the TRS government waived off Rs 17,000 crore crop loans, which was a major reprieve for the farmers in distress and debts. The government also announced crop investment of Rs 4000 per acre to all the farmers for single crop. Now, the Chief Minister has instructed the officials to take up a comprehensive land survey across the State and record the details online for transparency to overcome related issues.
