Kenan Thompson to star in Single-Dad Comedy series

Washington: American actor Kenan Thompson will be seen in a comedy series titled ‘Saving Larry’.

The ‘Saturday Night Live’ star will be seen playing a dad who has to be both mother and father to his kids after his wife passes away and he has to do everything with his father-in-law hovering over him, reported Variety.

Thompson will also be the executive producer for the series. Jackie Clarke is the writer and also the executive producer alongside Lorne Michaels and Andrew Singer. Universal Television will produce with Michael’s Broadway Video.

Thompson recently broke the record as the longest-serving cast member for SNL’s show. He first joined the show in 2003 and was recently nominated for his first-ever acting Emmy nomination in the ‘supporting actor in a comedy’ category.

Thompson along with Chriss Redd, Will Stephen and Eli Brueggemann won the Emmy award this year for original music and lyrics for their song titled ‘Come Back Barack’.

Thompson’s other television credits include the Nickelodeon sketch series ‘All That’ and ‘Kenan and Kel’.

He is repped by UTA, Michael Goldman, and Del Shaw.
