Kodandaram to float new political party, announcement on Feb 4

Hyderabad: The political scenario in Telangana State has suddenly become hot. The man who played a key role in separate Telangana Movement, Prof. Kodandaram who is the Convener of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee announced that he would float a political party on 4th February. This has created a tumult in political circles.

It may be mentioned that Prof. Kodandaram had made an effort to bring together all the political parties, voluntary organizations and various other representatives in order to exert pressure on Central Govt. for the formation of separate Telangana State.

After the formation of Telangana State, he maintained distance from political posts. He made struggles to get justice to the farmers who committed suicide and the students who were worried about not getting fee reimbursement from the Govt.

He organized seminars, symposiums and roundtable conferences to unite opposition parties. When he demanded justice for the Telangana Activists and organized rallies, Govt. created hurdles for him at various places. He got pressures from various corners for the formation of a new political party.

Prof. Kodandaram told that a meeting of all the activists of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee is being convened at 10 a.m. on Sunday at Sama Srinivas Garden, Turka Yamjal in which representatives of other parties and organizations are also invited.

After taking into consideration the issues farmers are facing, a formal announcement would be made for the formation of a new political party.

Prof. Kodandaram further told that even after the formation of the new political party, TJAC would continue to exist. The name of the new political party would be finalized soon.
