Hyderabad: In a meeting held at Sama Srinivas Reddy Garden at Turka Yamjal, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee decided to form a new political party with the name “Telangana Jana Samithi”.
A petition has already been filed with Central Election Commission for its registration. This was disclosed by Prof. Kodandaram, Chairman, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TJAC). He also told that farmer and plough will be the party logo. He told that he had no intention to form a new political party but people are demanding to do so in order to get their aspirations fulfilled. Despite the formation of new political party, TJAC will continue to exist.
Noted personalities like a revolutionary poet, Mr. Gaddar, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Mr. Vidhyadhar and a large number of student leaders belonging to various organizations attended the meeting.
Talking to newsmen at the end of the meeting, Prof. Kodandaram told that the agenda of the party would be to resolve the problems of unemployment persons and farmers.
He further told that many reports were submitted to the Govt. about the problems of farmer but there was no response. He directly targeted CM of TS, Mr. KCR and said that he opted for politics only to pool up money. He said that he would prove that he also has political knowledge in addition to making struggles.
It was reported that the formal announcement of the formation of Telangana Jana Samithi would be made on 10th March in Warangal to mark the day of “Millennium March”.
The newly formed political party will have two major public meetings in South Telangana and one in East Telangana
It may be mentioned that TRA party had won elections of local bodies in 2001 with the logo “farmer and plough”.
