The Saudi journalist had a conversation three days prior to his missing with BBC, the conversation wasn’t broadcasted.
Words of Khashoggi:
Jamal said in the conversation, “I don’t think I can go back home when I hear of an arrest of a friend who did nothing that’s worth to be arrested makes me feel I shouldn’t go. Maybe, he was talking critically over something at a dinner party. That’s what we’re becoming in Saudi Arabia, I don’t call myself as opposition. Recently, a Saudi columnist and economist who was close to the royal court got arrested and that scared many people. They’re not dissidents”.
