Mahabubnagar: A private school teacher, Ramana Reddy after stabbing his wife and slitting his own throat escaped from the scene. The incident took place on Wednesday morning in a government school’s premises where his wife Kanyakumari is the headmistress.
The couple who have been married for seven years have two daughters. Their relationship had become sour as Ramana wanted his wife to move to Kurnool along with him, which she didn’t agree to. She was posted as headmistress at Government Primary School two years ago in Muslaipally village of Makthal Mandal.
While Ramana posted in a school as a private teacher, he became addicted to alcohol. On Wednesday morning, he went to his wife’s school and stabbed her twice. Kanyakumari was taken to the Government hospital at Makthal and now is in a critical condition.
