Lucknow: BSP national president Ms. Mayawati alleged that women in BJP are scared of their husbands meeting the PM. They fear that they too might abandon them like Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“How can he (Modi) respect sisters and wives of others when he has left his own innocent wife for political gains?” Ms. Mayawati reportedly asked.
She also spoke about the cases of atrocities on Dalits in Gujarat and other BJP-ruled states. She added Modi has no right to make any suggestions to anyone on Alwar incident.
Ms. Mayawati appealed to women not to vote for such a person.
She said that PM Modi got his caste included in the most backward caste list to suit his political motives. “He is a fake OBC. Akhilesh Yadav is the real OBC,” she said.
Reacting to the personal attack made against PM Narendra Modi by Mayawati, Union finance minister Arun Jaitley said Mayawati is unfit for public life.
Nirmala Sitharaman, Union minister, also got into the spat and said Mayawati instead of answering political questions raised by Prime Minister Modi on the rape of a Dalit woman in Rajasthan resorted to personal attacks. She is demonstrating symptoms of anxiety that her party’s grand alliance with the SP in Uttar Pradesh is “going nowhere”.
