According to the report published in TOI, the goal of the Anam Hashim is to become a role model for Indian women. She also wants to start an academy for the aspiring stunt riders.
In May this year, the 22-year-old girl won a third prize at the Gymkhana Stuntride Competition Series 1 held at Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. She is the only Indian woman rider to win this award.
In 2015, when she was 20 years old, she set a record by riding a scooter to Khardung La pass.
It may be mentioned that she is popular on social media because of her stunt videos.
Anam Hashim said that she was attracted to this adventure sport right from her school days. She started researching on adventure biking when she was 15 years old.
She also said that there were many hurdles too in her way. However, she overcame all those odds and waited for g a od opportunity to achieve her goal. As stunt riding is still a male-dominated sport, her family doesn’t say “yes” to her dream career, she added.
Talking about her struggle, she said that her parents wanted her to study Engineering and had decided to send her to Pune. However, in 2013, she bought the stunt bike and started proceeding toward her goal.
Comparing the encouragement this sport receives in the West, she said that it is still less supported in India.
She also recalled the minor injury which she received while she was riding a bike. Luckily, she was saved in this accident since she was wearing a helmet.
She hopes that the future of stunt biking would improve in India.
Talking about start-up program of Union Government, she said it encourages entrepreneurs.
