Hyderabad: After the publication of the news that Metro Rail project in Old City has been shelved, many youths got disappointed. Professional women and girls expected that Govt. would come to their help by starting Metro Rail in Old City.
The leaders of all the political parties are demanding to start Metro Rail project in Old City whereas the officials have made it clear that due to political intervention, this project has been abandoned.
It may be mentioned that a large number of youths belonging to middle-class families go to Madhapur and other areas to work in BPOs. They use motorcycles but the girls have to travel by bus which is not convenient.
The citizens of Old City are disappointed with the cancellation of this project. They believe that this situation arose since the local leadership did not take any interest in the project. Working women and girls requested the Govt. to provide metro rail to help them.
