Gorakhpur: A minor girl working as a cook in an old age home was allegedly raped by the shelter’s manager in Gorakhpur.
According to the Police, the crime took place in Gorakhpur’s Chiluatal area 10 days ago but the victim filed her complaint on Thursday, PTI reported.
The police has no registered a rape case against the shelter manager but no arrests have been made so far said Senior Superintendent of Police Gorakhpur, Shalabh Mathur.
“The case is 10-day old. The medical report and statement of the girl in front of magistrate is awaited. Probe is underway, and police is minutely investigating the case. A case of rape has been registered against the accused. No arrest has been made so far,” Mr Mathur added.
The victim in her complaint stated that manager Anurag Pandey, who is a resident of Nausad area in Gorakhpur, allegedly raped her by forcibly entering her room on August 13.
It was when the victim’s cousin visited her on Thursday, she narrated her ordeal following which the girl registered her complaint.
However the manager has denied the allegations levelled against him by the girl.
