Modi is making an attempt to foil formation of grand alliance: Prithviraj Chauhan

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former CM of Maharashtra, Mr. Prithviraj Chauhan while talking to mediapersons in Hyderabad alleged that PM Modi is forging a strategy to foil the attempts of formation of grand alliance. However, TS BJP contradicted this allegation.

Mr. Chauhan told that the next General Elections are very important for Congress. He also told that all the likeminded parties are coming together on a common platform to save democracy and constitution of India. Giving the details of the strategy formed by Mr. Modi, he said that Modi wants to divide people on religious lines to win elections. He is also making all efforts to destroy opposition alliance.

Commenting on the statement made by BJP leader Mr. Ram Madhav, Mr. Chauhan said that after four years of BJP rule, Modi Govt. suddenly thought of raising Ram Temple issue. BJP thinks that it will be successful only when it raises the slogan of Ram Temple. He questioned BJP Govt. what steps did it take to construct Ram Temple during the past four years. Why did it not build consensus to find out the solution.

Mr. Chouhan appealed to the people of TS to be aware of the evil designs of BJP. He also expressed his apprehensions that before the General Elections, some attacks would be made on religious places.

Mr. Chouhan lamented that during Modi regime all the democratic institutions have been sabotaged. Mr. Modi is using all the investigating agencies for targeting opposition parties.

He appealed to the people of Telangana to support Congress in order to dislodge the dictatorial rule of Mr. KCR.

He pointed out that Mr. KCR did not fulfill the promise of appointing a Dalit as CM of TS. He also did not allot three acres of land and double bedroom houses to Dalits. It is very shameful that not even a lady minister has been appointed in TS cabinet. He alleged that KCR’s family is looting the treasury of Telangana. In order to encourage corruption and irregularities, the designs of irrigation projects were altered only to benefit the contractors of Mr. KCR’s choice.

Mr. Chouhan called KCR ‘modern Hyderabadi nawab’ and expressed his certainty that Congress will be successfully in Telangana.
