Mumbai: 25-year-old mass graduate found dangling from building

Mumbai: A 25-year-old woman’s semi-nude body was found on Monday dangling from the second floor of a suburban building in Malad.

The deceased identified as Arpita Tiwari from Mira Road along with her boyfriend visited their friends staying on the 15th floor of the 19-story Manavsthal Apartments on Mahakali Road in Malad.

Tiwari a graduate in Mass media was found dead dangling from the duct area of the second floor of the building. She was working as an anchor and had recently established a start-up of events and advertising solutions.

Arpita Tiwari had recently established a start-up for events and advertising solutions. She, along with her boyfriend, was visiting friends who stayed on the 15th floor of the 19-story Manavsthal Apartments on Mahakali Road, when the incident occurred. Tiwari, who worked as an anchor, was about to get married.

So far the Police has not confirmed the cause of death whether or not it was a suicide case or she simply fell off the duct.

Tiwari and her boyfriend, Pankaj Jadhav, visited their friends place at around 3 pm. It was after having dinner all the friends went to sleep around 4 pm.

One of the friends found her missing when he woke up at 7 pm to use the washroom which was locked from inside.

According to TOI, the friend assumed Tiwari was taking shower in the bathroom which he found locked from inside. But when he woke up again around 9 pm and found the bathroom locked from inside he alerted everyone.

HT quoted Police officer saying, “The friend woke up Jadhav, who helped him find a key to the washroom. They opened the door but did not see Tiwari inside. They, however, noticed that a glass pane of the window had been removed and set on the floor.”

TOI quoted the building’s manager saying, “We were wondering what the men were searching for around 9.30 am.”

“Subsequently, they discovered Tiwari’s body on the second-floor duct and informed us. We immediately alerted the police.” She was found in her undergarments.

A police official speaking about the case said: “No note was left behind by her. We will examine Tiwari’s cellphone and her social media accounts.”

He further added the body was sent for postmortem and the real cause of death will soon be known, reports Times Now.
