Johannesburg [South Africa]: British tennis maestro Andy Murray continues to be at the top spot as the latest ATP rankings remained unchanged despite fourteen-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal winning the title at the Barcelona Open this weekend.

Nadal, who also clinched 10th Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters title on April 30, continued his supreme run of form as he defeated Austria’s Dominic Thiem 6-4, 6-1 to claim his tenth title in the Catalan capital as well.

Despite the victory, the Spaniard remains at the fifth spot behind 18-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer, who did not play, Sport24 reported.

Meanwhile, Budapest winner Lucas Pouille of France surged to a career-best 14th place while 20-year-old Russian Karen Khachanov jumped 14 places to 42nd spot after making it to the quarter-finals in Barcelona.
