Muslim reservations delayed for 6 months

Hyderabad: It is likely that the case of 12% reservations for Muslims would be delayed by another 6 months. Govt. of Telangana did not provide the requisite material to Sudheer Commissioner of Enquiry for the finalization of its report. Extension of the tenure of office of Sudheer Commissioner seems to be certain for another 6 months. This commissioner was constituted in March 2015. Initially, it was given 6 months time but this period was exhausted in providing office accommodation to the commission. Meanwhile, two new members were appointed and the firsts extension was given for 6 months which would end by 31st March 2016.

Govt. of Telangana is making lofty claims for considering 12% reservation for Muslims seriously but taking into consideration its attitude with the commission, all these claims seem to be futile.

It may be mentioned that after the appointment of the Members of this commission, their salaries have not yet been paid.
