Nagam Urges CM to Help Cotton Farmers

Telangana BJP leader and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy urged chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to help cotton farmers who incurred heavy loss in recent heavy rains.

In a letter addressed to KCR, he asked the CM to send assessment teams to  the affected areas and send the report to central government for help and not to waste time in assessing the damaged cotton crops.

The BJP leader asked the chief minister to curb corruption if he  wanted to see Telangana state developed. Referring to recent  CM’s  remark asking people to slap with chappal if anybody demanded bribe, Nagam questioned whom he would  beat with chappal in the  crores of rupees irregularities involved in on-going projects in the name of re-designing and revised estimates.

Nagam said he is ready to prove his allegations if the CM gives permission to get information from RTI.

Criticising the TRS government for supplying sub-standard Bathukamma sarees, the BJP leader demanded a probe into the scam. It is an insult to poor people by giving them poor quality sarees, he said and demanded that an inquiry should be ordered to expose people involved in the scam.(NSS)
