Nasser Khan Janjua resigns as Pakistan’s National Security Adviser

Lahore: National Security Adviser (NSA) of Pakistan, Nasser Khan Janjua, tendered his resignation on Wednesday.

Janjua is a retired Lieutenant General of the Pakistan Army and had been serving as the NSA since October 2015. He succeeded Sartaj Aziz in office.

According to Geo TV, Caretaker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk has accepted Janjua’s resignation, however, no reason has been given for the same.

In the past, Janjua has served as the Quetta corps commander and National Defence University president before retiring from the Pakistan army.
